OPEN ROADS EDUCATOR CONFERENCE:
An educator reboot addressing The Comfort Crisis

The Open Roads Educator Conference has been created to provide a professional development opportunity that gives educator’s a chance to step back and take a look at their journey in education, to reflect on and share lessons learned, while setting ambitious goals for the open road ahead. The focus on helping students realize their potential will be done using Micheal Easter’s, “The Comfort Crisis”, as the backdrop for conference sessions. This three-day conference will be centered on three core pillars of inquiry:
Teaching as leadership
Learning outside comfort zones
Techniques for expanding belief systems
We will leverage the power of the awe-inspiring natural environment of Sedona, Arizona to establish a collaborative community of educators who can openly share, critique and examine how to improving teaching and accelerate students’ growth and performance.
Intentional time spent in nature, combined with self reflection and intentional conversation has profound emotional and mental health benefits, there will be ample time to simply take deep breaths, and enjoy.
Registration Cost
Includes: lodging, transportation to and from PHX, materials, and meals Thurs. evening- Sunday morning: $2,500
