Roger Bristowe has dedicated his life to helping kids achieve meaningful social and emotional growth through well-crafted experiences and impactful time spent in nature. He believes that the natural world can be our greatest teacher and that when we put down the distractions of everyday life to connect with one another in the outdoors, we allow our best qualities to shine, resulting in a level of health and wellness rarely achieved elsewhere.

Over his 30-year career, Roger has realized this commitment through a variety of roles at camps and outdoor travel programs, including 5 years as an outdoor/environmental educator at Nature's classroom at various locations throughout the Northeastern U.S., 5 years as Co-Executive Director of the Open Roads Academy summer travel program, and most significantly through a 25+ year engagement with Camp Thunderbird for Boys in Minnesota where he has filled nearly every position at the camp, including 10 years as its Director where he oversaw all aspects of this ACA-accredited camp, including all risk management and extended tripping programs, serving more than 500 kids every summer.
